My guests today are Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce, creators of Engaging Concepts and the more widely known, Engage! Summits.

Recently hailed by Fortune Magazine as the wedding industry’s most exclusive conference, Rebecca and Kathryn have built their iconic brand from simply an idea that bubbled up over and over for almost 5 years before coming to fruition.

You guys, this was such a great episode for SO MANY reasons!! First, I have to be honest and tell you that Kathryn and Rebeca were in my “bucket list” list of guests. You know the one you have off to the side and think…one day, if I get up the nerve to ask, maybe just maybe, they’ll say yes?? I mean if I don’t ask, how will it ever happen?? Well, somehow I did get up the nerve and they didn’t even hesitate to jump right in! They were just so very gracious from the minute we started talking!

Second, they were so transparent in this episode!! If you’re in the wedding industry, you know what the Engage! Summits are and if you’re not, you likely still know what they are! Engage!20 Spring (taking place next week!) will be held in Dubai, and is the first time Engage! will travel to the middle east and guess what?? It is SOLD OUT!

Rebecca and Kathryn shared with me the inspiration for Engage! and how they bootstrapped that very first conference (the first FEW really). What I love about this conversation is that we forget that every successful business and every successful person started somewhere. The Engage! Summit delivers the very tip-top of luxury to each of its guests and attendees of the summits are known as the who’s who of the wedding industry. But the ladies get real about what it was like in the early days of Engage! and how they had to make some tough decisions to keep it going before Engage! Summits became a profitable venture.
